power bi report server with sql server enterprise edition - load data from sql server standard edi.

Hi,

We deserve power bi report server license because we purchased sql server enterprise edition with SA.

But, our source data is splitted between several sql servers, some of them are sql server standard edition.

Can we load source data from the sql server standard edition as well (or we can load data from the sql server enterprise edition only)?

    The cores for the server where you install Report Server need to be coverd by SQL Enterprise with SA.

     

    But you can source data for reports from multiple other SQL Servers (and even other database providers if you need). From a Report Server perspective it does not matter how those other servers are licensed.
