Hi, I'm having trouble refreshing Microsoft Exchange Online connection on the PBI reporting server.
The connection is for a shared mailbox, i don't have any problem connecting to the mailbox from power bi destop.
but when I "published" the report to the on-prem server, I getting an error connecting to the data source.
In this case I'm using a shared mailbox in the connection string, and a service account mailbox (the shared mailbox is linked to) as a username for credentials.
Any help or hints is very appreciated
Thanks,
Mika
Unfortunately Exchange Online is not supported for Scheduled Refresh operations. It's listed here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/data-sources as only supporting "Cached Data" which means you can refresh in Power BI Desktop and then upload to Report Server.
The only work around for this would be to write a script or process which could load the data from Exchange Online into a supported data source.
