Hi Experts,
I appreciate your input. I am not very experienced with Power BI, but since this morning, we have been encountering the following error while manually refreshing Power BI reports in the desktop version.
Could you please explain what this error means and provide a step-by-step guide on how to fix it? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Microsoft.Mashup.Engine1.Library.Resources.HttpResource: Request failed:
OData Version: 3 and 4, Error: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. (Bad Request)
OData Version: 4, Error: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. (Bad Request)
OData Version: 3, Error: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. (Bad Request)

Hi, @Anonymous
"(400) Bad request" typically indicates that there is an issue with the request being sent from Power BI to the data source. This can happen for several reasons, such as incorrect query syntax, authentication issues, or limitations imposed by the data source or the Power BI service.
You can check the query syntax to make sure that the query used to get data from the source is properly formatted. If you've recently made changes to your query, consider reverting to a previous version to see if the issue persists.
Verify that the credentials used to access the data source are still valid and that the account has the required permissions to access the data.
Some data sources have limits on the amount of data that can be extracted in a single request, or other limits that can result in 400 errors. Check the data source's documentation for any such limitations.
If your data model is larger than 1 GB and you're using a Power BI Pro license, you might encounter this error. Power BI Pro has a model memory size limit of 1 GB. If that's the case, consider upgrading to a per-user premium license or a premium capacity subscription.
