We are going through updating some documentation for deploying paginated reports and Power BI reports to Power BI Report Server, and I'm being reminded of how clunky the situation still is with managing data sources for PBI reports. I noticed in the January 2020 release there is a new PBIDS format, and it got me wondering if this might be a path to getting pubished shared data source that can be used for multiple reports? It's just one more difference between the paginated and Power BI reports that makes things feel disjointed.
