User Canceling a long running SSRS report on Power BI Server

I have a scenario where reports are taking a while to run and i want to better understand what happens when the user either clicks the cancel button on the loading wheel within PBIRS or if they close the tab or browser?

I have been seening varied results, but some times when the user cancels the report, the query continues to process until it reaches the server timeout limit. Is there any documentation on how this process is supposed to work?
