Unable to use existing report server DB to be use for Power BI Report Server

Hi Power BI Team,

I am trying to migrate or use SharepoiSQL Snt 2013 SSRS DB to PowerBI Report Server but getting an error below.

The database you have selected is configured for Reporting Services Sharepoint mode. Please select a SQL Server Database that is confugured for Reporting Services native mode.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

GCE

In Power BI Desktop, in the ribbon, select Edit Queries, and then select Data source settings. Select Change Source, confirm your server and database names, and select OK. Close the data source settings window, and then select Apply changes.

Hello D-Gosbell,

I was able to successfully migrate using rs.exe script but the workspace can not be open after the migration. Any configuration, steps or permission needed?

Please advise.

Thanks,

GCE

As the error says, you cannot migrate a Sharepoint instance to a non-sharepoint instance. You will need to look at other scripting approaches (eg https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/tools/sample-reporting-services-rs-exe-scri... ) or manually re-deploy your reports to a new instance.
