Unable to install Power BI Report Server Due to blocking error

I was able to solve the problem by changing the hostnames to a smaller version that doesn't get shortened in "systeminfo".
Edit: before changing the hostname to a shorter version, I was also able to install it successfully by installing a new sql server on the report server hosting machine.

Super UserIt's not good that the app crashes like that. But the message that "No such host is known" sounds like the name you've been given for the database server is not correct. That message means that when the configuration tool queried DNS it could not resolve the host name to an IP address.
If you open a command prompt and try to ping the database server does that work? If not this is a networking issue or you've been given the wrong server name.
