Hi!
Have a problem with reports scheduled refresh. Every morning several random reports failed to refresh by schedule with error "The credentials provided for the File source are invalid" but testing this connection passed ok. Each day - another or the same reports failed to refresh reporting this error. Refresh in Desktop - ok, credentials doesn`t change. PBIRS log has the same info:"AnalysisServices.OperationException: Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'One or more errors occurred.;One or more errors occurred. The credentials provided for the File source are invalid. "
Power BI Reporting Server Jan`25 on-premises
Report don`t use Gateway
Path for files in connections like "\\server\path\file.xlsx"
Thinking of server settings or network issues. But how to check it?

Thanks all, the problem is solved.
An issue was in one report with scheduled refresh, where was entered old password for several connections. This cases blocking domain account for 15 minutes. All reports, using this account with right credentials was failed to refresh at that period of time.

Yes and yes - domain included.
Hi @alexmajic,
Thank you @tayloramy, for your insights.
Set up or correct the Unattended Execution Account in the PBIRS Portal by going to Site Settings → Unattended Execution Account. Use a reliable domain account that has access to the file share. Do not use DFS; instead, specify a direct UNC path.
Stagger refresh schedules, as running all refreshes simultaneously can cause PBIRS to lose authentication under heavy load.
Thank you.
Hi @alexmajic,
Are you re-setting the credentials in the data source settings once uploaded to the report server?
another tip is to include the domain name when using windows credentials.

Yes, credentials are re-setted and fine (Test connection: Connected successfully).
Domain name included: domain\login.
Hi @alexmajic,
Is the excel file password protected by chance?
