That's not a supported Power BI URL

I'm attempting to showcase reports uploaded to the Power BI Report Server in PowerPoint (2021 Office version). When I paste the URL to the window of PowerPoint Power BI Add-in, I get the following error message: "That's not a supported Power BI URL".

In many previous forum entries to this subject, this link is referenced: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-power-bi-powerpoint-add-in-inst...

However, the solution in there clearly does not define how you are supposed to share a Power BI Report if you are in a Report Server environment where there isn't anywhere an option to share. Also in Report Server Power BI, there is no option to directly export to PowerPoint which in the article is decribed as another solution.

So is there a way to alter my URL in order for it to work in the PowerPoint Add-in?

For example in here: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Report-Server/Report-server-URL-virtual-directory/m-p/2315...

It was suggested that the URL should be altered from "/powerbi" to "/reports". That does allow you to click "insert" but after that you are quickly faced by another error message: "Something went wrong".

Hi @Tr11ker1 ,

This feature is only support Power BI Service.

To my knowledge, your demands may not be achieveable.
