Tabular Editor with PBIRS

Hi, I've installed Tabular Editor (2.17) and am trying to use with Power BI Report Server (May 2021 release).

Other posts on the these forums suggest enabling 'enhanced metadata format' within 'preview features', but my version of PBIRS cannot access these.

Am I missing something, or is Tabular Editor not compatible with PBIRS?

Thanks

Thanks, it seems with PBIRS you have to save your files as .PBIT then open manually in Tabular Editor. Also have to allow unsupported (experimental) features in preferences.

PBIRS does not support the use of any preview features. Since the server is not managed by microsoft they cannot push out fixes if there are problems with the preview features. However the enhanced metadata format is now the standard format so if you update to the May 2022 release it *might* work. But the PBIRS version of desktop does not support external tools so you would need to launch tabular editor and connect externally.

Thanks, it seems with PBIRS you have to save your files as .PBIT then open manually in Tabular Editor. Also have to allow unsupported (experimental) features in preferences.
