Subscribe button and Subscriptions pane are not available for Power BI Desktop report in PIBRS

Hi everyone,

I created two reports on my on-premise Power BI Report server, one with Report Builder and the other with Power BI Desktop.

I see subscriptions options only for the Report Builder report for some reason.

I am the administrator and I set myself permissons for all roles in the folder.

What do I miss here? Looked over all the community and havn't found a similar issue.

I attached photos below to demonstrate.

You have not missed anything. Subscriptions are currently only available with paginated (Report Builder) reports. Not with Power BI Reports.

Thanks, this is really disappointing.

Is there a way to export to pdf programatically (not from Power BI service as I see here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/reports/exportreport), then I can do the email automation by myself?

Are API operations available also for on-premise PIBRS?

No, unfortunately not all the same API calls are available in PBIRS and that exportreport does not appear to be supported at the moment. (you can see the list of API calls for PBIRS here: https://app.swaggerhub.com/apis/microsoft-rs/pbirs/2.0#/)
