Hello,
currently a user login is shown in the format Domain/T012345. Also this is shown when a user puts a comment to a report.
This is not really user friendly. Is it possible to show just the actual name of user instead of this? The information is in our Active Directory, it just needs to be displayed by the Report Server.
Best Regards
Philipp

I see what you mean. If this is important to you please consider voting for an existing idea or raising a new one at https://ideas.powerbi.com
Thanks Ibendlin for the response!
And is it possible to use a static reference table to alter things on the Power BI Portal itself? This must be hardcoded somewhere?
I think what you suggest, is for changing the displayed user within a report.

What's the business value of showing that data? Most of the users looking at your report should know who they are, no?
In the comment section of each report, users only see the technical names of other comment writers.
Power BI has Active Directory connectors. They are awfully slow but if your AD is small then this may be an option. Alternatively you can load a static reference table.
