Sharing Reports

I'm trying to share a report with more than 150 users of my company. I have the complete names on a column in excel, and another column with their email addresses.

The point is that when I try to copy from excel and paste the names to the field grant access to in order to share the report, it just recognice the first name as valid. I tried with just the email addresses and didn't work. I tried separating the names or email addreses with semicolons, but didn't work.

How can I paste several names to share a report? Is there a valid separator? This has to be done one by one?

Thanks a lot.

You should try and use their Active Directory user login's - IE what they log into the enterprise network with.  You can only do this one user at a time and as you can imagine very difficult to manange.

The correct way would be to create an active directory group and give that group permissions to the report.  I recomend something specific in relation to the report or folder that you put the report in.  I seperate reports into folders related to business units that way I can just give that business unit access to any reports related to them all at once.  Examples would be: PBI_Sales, or PBI_Execs, PBI_Shipping.

Thanks for your answer. This was our first idea, but now that our company is going into a Power BI reporting environment, this is also too much work. The reason is that each report will be shared with many different busines units, including just some people from each unit. This means that I don't want to give permits on a report to a whole group created before with the active directory, but just to some individuals each time.

That's why a need a better and faster way to include people by report, like copy and paste.
