Shared Datasource for Power BI Report Server for PBI Reports

We want to create a datasource on our locally hosted PBI Report Server and then use that as the datasource for our PBI Reports. I've looked around and it looks like this is possible for Paginated Reports but not PBI Reports. 

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Shared datasets are for paginated reports.
Power BI desktop RS does not have the ability to use your shared datasets on Report Server. You should connect directly to your dataset in Power BI desktop RS.
