Semantic model refresh Data source error: The PostgreSQL source doesn't support encrypted connection

i am losing my brain cells with this power bi service crap, my data source is a postgresql database hosted on a server, in power bi desktop it connects perfect, when i check the connection in connections it says online, but when i try to refresh the semantic model i get this error:

What encryption option did you use when setting up your gateway connection? It sounds like you chose the "encrypted" option when your server does not support that

Have you set up a gateway connection for the PostgreSQL sources in the power bi service. If you are using a gateway, in the gateway connection you can see that you can set the data source to be unencrypted, some users have mentioned that if you need to ensure that the data source is encrypted then you need to set up the SSL certificates correctly according to the Microsoft requirements.
Until then I would recommend that you try setting No Encryption first (either in Power BI Desktop or Power BI Service), check that you can create the gateway connection and refresh the report properly in your environment, and then consider the encryption issue later.

In the official documentation, it is recommended to give preference to the unencrypted option in the official connection cases (selected when connecting to the data source in power bi desktop).
You need to use NpgSQL and configure the relevant parameters.

I've tried configuring the power bi service gateway connection for PostgreSQL sources and the report refreshes successfully in the service, so hopefully this issue will help you. (This covers the process of making my pbix file to finally refreshing it in service)
