Having trouble with a server-mounted, On-Premises Gateway communicating with my silent ODBC for Sage 100 access.
On-Premises Gateway successfully installed on my server (also the Sage server), and my published Power BI semantic model recognizes it. The persistent error is that my DSN is incorrect. I've poured over community posts for the last couple weeks and believe I have my connection string and credentials correct, and ensured my ODBC is on the same machine as the Gateway.
Error log:
Matt_BCS: ODBC: ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
The Gateway was originally installed on my machine and functioned well, refreshing on schedule. I'm attempting to migrate the Gateway off my PC so I don't accidentally close the nuisance Gateway window.
Any ideas?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Solved! The ODBC was mistakenly setup as a User DSN. Moved to System DSN and all is good.

On the gateway VM go to the ODBC 64 System DSN settings and validate that your dsn is actually listed and working.
Note: Do not run gateway service and any other service on the same machine. They will starve each other of memory.
Thank you for the advice!
