SSRS Server vs Power BI Report Server

I have read several articles already on MS Power BI Report Server.

Installation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/install-report-server

Since RDL has been changing with MS Power BI Service, I thought I ask to clear this up. We can no longer "pin" an RDL to MS Power BI Service.

I have experience with SSRS. SSRS is great but it is slow. The other day, I decided to create a paginated report from MS Power BI, using MS Power BI Report Builder. I uploaded the report to MS Power BI Service and it is fast, compared to the SSRS version. I did not have MS Power BI Report SERVER installed.

My question is, yeah, now I understand the RDL version of MS Power BI Service is faster than the traditional SSRS, what are the needs and benefits for MS Power BI Report Server if I already have SSRS server installed?

While I wait for others inputs, I may get my ansswers from this article:

PBIRS is built on top of SSRS, you mainly get the additional ability to host PBIX reports.

The service should not be significantly different in performance to SSRS/PBIRS - usually one of the biggest factors in the report performance is the query speed and the connection to the source system.
