Is it possible to develop SAP (standard, custom, bw) reports in Power BI knowing that the SAP DB got dumped to Microsoft SQL Server so the reports would be developed against MS SQL Server not SAP.

For now, Microsoft has developed SAP BW Connector Implementation 2.0. you can choose between SAP BW Connector Version 1 or SAP Connector Implementation 2.0.
