Running PowerBI Reports from Linux

We are in the process of evaluating PowerBI and moving from our current BI platform Cognos.  One of the main features we need to integrate with our systems is running a remote from a UNIX shell (command line).

With Cognos, we have a utility we can call and tell it the report name, output type, and pass parameters to the report.  We then run it in the foreground or background depending on the script and what it is doing.  We can also interface with our document management system with the outputed file.  We have a ton of these scripts that mainly run nights and weekends.

How can this be done with PowerBI?  I get it can be done from any Microsoft language, but this is an important piece for us.

Thanks in advance.
