Hello
We have been running Power BI Report server for a while and it has been working well. However a few weeks back we changed the user of the database connection in the Report Server Configuration Manager on one of our test servers from a local account to an AD account and when we try to access the report server web portal we get 503 - Service not available. If we go back to a local account it works again.
To test it, we changed from a working AD account on another test server to the equivalent AD account and it also stopped working. When turning it back to the first AD account it worked again.
The account is added to the database security when we configure it in PBI report server and we can open the database through Management Studio as that user with no problem. So the problem only occurs when we try to access the report server web portal (locally of externally), however this is kind of important...
We would like to run the AD account but we dont really know why one account works and not the other.
My question is: Has anyone run into this problem, and if so does anyone know if there are any specific issues regarding the settings/credentials of an AD account for it to not work?
The version we are running is:
Power BI Report Server - October 2017
Version 1.1.6582.41691 (Build 14.0.600.442), Released: January 10, 2018
Best Regards,
