Report server SSL
Hello , I am in the process of installing Power BI Report server. I am in the step to configure webservice URL. I want webservice URL and Webportal URL use https as our reports will be accessed out...
I was able to solve this.
1. Imported .cer to Personal folder on mmc then it showed up on the report manager.
2. My webservice and Portal both are https.
3. important thing to remember is while creating a certificate the CN name should be the domain name of the URL. For ex: if you want ur report manager url as https://earth.milkyway.org then your CN name should be earth.milkyway.org. If not you will not able to get that url when you select the certificate in the report manager.
4. I did not install IIS and I do not think you need . check out Interportability issues here
