Report Server gateway requirement

Hello,

I am using import mode to get data from my SQL in shared folder. The SQL are from materialized views and the reports will be published in the report server from Power BI Desktop.

My question is do I need a gateway to refresh the data in report server?

No, you justneed "scheduled refresh" in report server - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/scheduled-refresh
