Report Builder Application Extremely Slow

Hi all,

 

Curious to see if someone can help me with updating the performance of PBI Report Builder (Paginated).

 

If I right-click the dataset > query, the application takes a full two minutes to load. Select Cancel once that loads? That will take approximately 30-45 seconds before I am asked to confirm. Rinse/repeat for all actions with the application, making it difficult to update reports quickly.

 

Thoughts on how I can improve the performance? I've uninstalled/re-installed and working with the latest version (15.0.1380.0). Other users within the org are having quick response time, so I do not believe it is a data model issue.

    Hi grant,

     

    We have intermittently seen something like this when connecting to a data source. While we do not know the cause or why the issue is not deterministic. If you do figure something out that we might be able to change, let us know.

     

    Rebooting and cleaning your temp directory might help.

      I'm wondering if it has to do with my .NET version. After a few uninstall/reinstalls, I gave this a shot and - so far so good.
