Refresh failure -It looks like the refresh token expired. Please go to this dataset's settings page,

Hi,

I am facing this issue from few days and the scheduled refresh does not work. Below is the error description:

It looks like the refresh token expired. Please go to this dataset's settings page, and reenter the undefined credentials for the undefined data source.
Cluster URI:WABI-AUSTRALIA-SOUTHEAST-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Activity ID:d796f6fa-b4ba-4059-9dc8-bb3ed5e19ede
Request ID:54aab39a-94b7-4c63-bcc5-af0ae7a43821
Time:2020-03-04 14:14:01Z

If i try to manuly refresh it works for me. But what can be done to get rid of this issue.

My data is coming from a cube, it is a direct query.

Thanks.

I'm getting these overnight. When I look at the dataset setting, the subsequent refresh(s) worked fine. Between this and the "transient" failures every night, I'm going to recommend a different platform to my boss. I can't have these random failures. We need this to be better than 75% up.

It sounds like it wants you to reenter credentials. You should be able to do that on the datasets settings page. Otherwise, You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".

Re-entering my credentials fixed the refresh issue!

Where do you re-enter credentials? I've created a report directly from the "Visualize this view" in Dynamics CRM. It stopped working for all my reports about 2 weeks ago.

I have tried to re enter the credential but does not work either

It may be caused by momentary Service insanity syndrome. Difficult if not impossible to troubleshoot. I would open a ticket.
