Publish Dataset only

Hi, 

I am working first time on Power BI desktop (September 2019) comaptible to report server. I have 2 queries where need your help:

1. Is it possible in PBI Desktop (September 2019) to publish only dataset, without the report, same like in Power Bi service where we        can build the reports and dashboard after publishing the dataset only?

2. Does PBI Desktop (September 2019) version supports date hierarchy as like in Power Bi Desktop

    No, this is not supported on Report Server

    Yes, this is supported.(at least the same functionality that existed back in Sep 2019 - although I can think of any changes to date hierarchies since then)

      Hi,

      Thank you for the answers.

      For one of my report, I can't use the date hierarchy in PBI Desktop (September 2019) version as it is taking only single value year/quarter/month/day while full hierarchy is functional in PBI Desktop for the same report.

       

      Please help me to understand what would be the reason behind this and how to use the full date hierarchy in PBI Desktop (September 2019) version?
