Profit and Loss Report with Table Layout and Custom Groups

Hello,

 

I am looking to build a highly formatted profit and loss report and having couple of challenges to design a particular layout as per requirements.

 

  1. Below is screenshot of the layout. I beliee such is not possible through Pivot Table as account group dimention need to be in the middle and values to be on the right and left side on it. Please advise on how we can achieve this.
  2. There are 4 custom groups in the report which are calculated fields. How to show custom group and account group dimention in same column?

    Hi,

     

    Maybe this article can help you better make and format your P&L Report. 

     

    Personally, I don't think that it is a good idea to put dimensions in the middle.

    Hi, designing highly formatted Profit & Loss layouts in Power BI especially with custom groupings and mixed layout requirements often requires complex modeling and DAX.

    You might alternatively want to explore a ready-made Power BI Profit & Loss template that already includes financial dashboards and P&L reporting: https://vidi-corp.com/profit-and-loss-dashboards/

    It can be a helpful starting point and save time compared with building the entire layout and logic from scratch.
