Product Selection

Hello,

We are currently looking at reporting platforms and have a few questions regarding the Power BI products.  We are looking at the following products, BI Report Server to deploy and deliver the reports and BI Report Desktop to build them.  We do not want our data in a cloud service hence the BI Report Server and not the Report Service.  For high level requirements we would like:

1.  A few end users to be able to develop reports using the BI Report Desktop.

2.  Data sources for reports will be a mixture (Oracle, SQL Server, text files)

3.  Reports at runtime will need to be able to read configuration files or db's to pull in data based on data from the report datasource

4.  Reports need to be able to be schedule in the report server to run a various times

5.  Email need to go out with attached reports (ex. nitely batch process creating permits need to be sent to permittees.

Can this all be done with these two products without adding in more products?

Thanks

Joe
