Hi everyone.
I have a customer that has a 5tb database and I need to do a PoC to demonstrate the PowerBI Report Server.
I am thinking use the SSIS and SSAS to work with this data. My question is: The SSAS live conenection will give me a good performance? There is another possibility for this scenario?
Best regards,
Marcelo.
You could do DirectQuery and if you have Premium you could use Aggregations:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-aggregations
That is how Microsoft demo's petabyte scale databases.
Hi @Greg_Deckler,
Thanks so much.
When you say DirecQuery you are talking about this function with SSAS, right?
And about the Premium version, I have the Aggregations in On-premise version (SQL Server Licensing)?
thanks
