PowerBI report server license

For power bi server license , if chosing to use SQL Server Enterprise Edition with Software Assurance, so the power bi report server need to be install on the same server where SQL server enterprise ...

Either that or you need to purchase additional cores for the server running Power BI Report Server. You can have the database engine and the report server on different machines, (this will give better performance) but the cores on both machines would need to be covered by SQL Enterprise licenses with SA.
