Greetings,
I have seen some posts regarding the error. However on my side there is some inconsistency when accessing the reports. The error below is happening intermittently. Yesterday we could not access the reports and hours later, we get the error below. This goes and off and not consistent. Sometime we can access reports for two without getting the error below and out of the blue all goes down. no changes were made to the servers except automatic Edge updates. But the error can also replicated in Chrome.
ERROR Copy:
We couldn't run the report because we couldn't connect to its data source. The report or data source might not be configured correctly.
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.
We couldn't connect to the Analysis Services server. Make sure you've entered the connection string correctly.
When I check the Logfile in Report Server I pick up the following:
Using Windows Report Server 2018 August
I've never seen this issue before. You may need to raise a help ticket with Microsoft.
But your version of Report Server is really old and way out of support, so the first thing they are going to ask you to do is to upgrade to a supported version and then see if the error still occurs.
Greetings,
I have made further investigations by doing the following:
Firewall Logs
Kerberos settings
SQL Server Logs to see any lead
Report Server Logs to pick any errors
Event Viewer Logs ( Application and Security )c
Any suggestion of how I can resolve this or do some recommended checks as it is still happening. Early morning I got the error about and out of the blue we back online again and no errors and reports are now accessible. You Help will be appreciated.
