Power Bi Reports as Paginated Reports in Reporting Services

Hello Everyone,

I have been using Reporting Services for a while now and created many Paginated reports using Report Builder that are great since everyone with access to the folder can view them directly on the Reporting Server itself just by clicking on it.

PowerBi — Postimages (postimg.cc) (For some reason this forum doesn't let me post my photos so I need to link them)

Recently I have started to create some simple project with Power Bi, however when I upload them to the SSRS it get recognized as "POWER BI REPORTS" instead of "PAGINATED REPORTS", meaning that when I try to open it it just download it on my PC (See picture) and I will need to open it on my own Power BI application.

Power Bi 2 — Postimages (postimg.cc)

Is there a way to make it so that Power BI reports are shown in the same way as Report Builder reports on the SSRS itself? Is there a way to export the Power BI or a converter that make it Paginated report? Is a license required to do so?

Please ask for more information if needed,

Thanks for the help!

Giovanni

No, there is no way to make SSRS render Power BI Reports. To do that you would need Power BI Report Server https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/get-started (which is actually build on the same foundation as SSRS) The earlier link has information on how to license this.
