Power Bi Report Builder(Paginated Report) Dynamic
- 1 year ago
Hi SaulGarcia
Thanks for getting back with more details. Let me try to clear the confusion step by step. In Report Builder, when you insert a List control, it will look empty at first that is normal. Think of the List as a container, inside which you can place your header (rectangle with student details), a table for the body, and another rectangle for the footer. The grouping is done on StudentID so that each student gets their own section. For the 3-column layout, you won’t find that setting inside the table properties. Instead, go to Report → Report Properties → Layout, and there you can set the number of columns (for example, 3) and adjust the spacing. Once this is done, the rows from your table will automatically flow across the page in three columns. For page breaks, just enable “between each instance of a group” on the StudentID group. The footer can either go inside the list (if it’s student-specific) or in the report’s Page Footer section (if it’s the same across pages).
I’d suggest first trying with 2–3 students to check the behaviour before running it on the full dataset. This way, you’ll clearly see how the header, body in three columns, and footer repeat per student.
Thank you,Tejaswi.
