Power BI server (On premise) Slower than Desktop

Hello everyone,

We are working on Power BI Report On-Premise. it runs on Windows Server 2016, Intel Xeon E5 (2697 v4) 2.3 Ghz 12-core, 32 GB of RAM, 10 GB of Ethernet adapter

we are using an SQL database with direct query

The report runs in less than 5 seconds on powerBI Desktop, while it takes between 20 and 30 seconds on Power Bi Server.

Is it usual for PBI Desktop to run that much faster than PBI Report Server?

we are testing to execute Desktop and server directly from the same server

Any ideas why this happens?

regards

Now, we are using SSAS. but Server still runs slower than desktop.
