Hi everyone,
I have PBI report server and I faced that it has long response while moving between pages, up to 10 seconds.
Also, when I use slicers it also has long response.
If user enlarges single visual whole report freezes with no response.
I have Power BI report server October version, server has 64 GB of RAM, data connection is SSAS live connection.
What can be an issue for such performance? Also, if several people would acces web portal of Power BI RS simultaneously, will it affect performance?
Regards,
Yerkhan
Do you get similar slow responses when using the report in PBI Desktop?
What kind of SSAS backend is it? Tabular or MultiDimensional? Then are the SSAS models processed to produce their own aggregations? or are they passing the query to the underlying data sources?
You can get multiple interactions with slicers and visuals. So you alter one which results in cascading queries to the backend. Have you tried a simpler report, just one visual and one or two slicers? Is this as slow?
Sorry this is all questions.
@Anonymous
Yes, in PBI Desktop there is alo slow response, but a bit faster than in RS.
It is multidimensional cube, produces own aggregations.
I didn't try simpler report. Will do that.

Yerkhan
