The report is created in Power BI desktop and published to report server. It is working fine when are directly mentioning Analysis server name in the connection string (Manage>Data sources). But its throwing below error when we are mentioning the BISM connection string instead of analysis server name. This BISM connection string resides in SharePoint library. BISM connection is also connecting to Analysis server. We want to connect to backend through BISM connection rather than connecting directly.
Before publishing the report to the report server, the data is rendering without any issues using BISM string.
The issue might be due to the double hop as we have NTLM configured in SharePoint farm. However, is there any workaround to achieve this without changing the authentication mechanism to Kerberos as there is only one production live environment and we dont want to change the authentication directly in it. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
