Hi,
We have a customer that has SQL Server 2016 Enterprise Edition with Valid Software Assurance. Apparantely, this customer wants to deploy and use Power BI Reports Server as the license that he has is OK for this thing.
The problem is that this customer has refused to deploy the PBI Report Server on the same SQL database server because it is considered a Secured Zone and is not accessible to users. So he suggested to deploy the PBI Report Server on another machine with its reporting database deployed on the SQL database server. The PBI Report Server this way can be deployed on a DMZ that is accessible to users to open reports from laptops and mobile devices.
The question is, can this user use the same license that he already has for this deployment scenario. If not, then please advise your suggestions to solve this issue taking into consideration that the customer refuses to purchase any further licenses than he already has.
Thanks
