Power BI Report Server on premise security

Super UserI would suspect that both options would probably work. But I would suggest only using AD groups. If you ever need to scale out or restore Report Server onto another machine you won't loose any security settings if you have AD groups. Plus you have the option that you can also use AD Groups to grant access to other resources (like SQL Server databases) so by adding a user to 1 AD Group they get access to the report and the data source.
