Power BI Report Server Upgrade from May 2020 (on SQL Server 2016) to May 2021 (SQL Server 2021)

Hi ,

Is there any Best Practices documentation on upgrading Power BI Report Server from one version to another ?

We are upgrading from May 2020 to May 2021 and I was wondering what is the most efficient way to do this ?

    Please refer to this document to upgrade Power BI Report Server: Upgrade Power BI Report Server - Power BI | Microsoft Docs.

     

    Before you upgrade a report server, we recommend the following steps to back up your report server.

    • Backing up the encryption keys
    • Backing up the report server databases
    • Backing up the configuration files
