Power BI Report Server September 2025 has been Released!

‎We are pleased to announce the September 2025 update for Power BI Report Server.

The release can be found on the Microsoft Download Center. 

All updates can be found on the changelog page.

I have tested Sep 2025 version for PBIRS. i found two issues which needs a hot fix.

1. "Field Parameter" feature is open in PBIRS Desktop, but it is not working  after uploading to PBIRS.

2. PBIRS can not show the scheduled refresh error when i click the "information" icon in the status column. i open DevTools in Edge and it shows "ERROR SyntaxError: Unterminated string in JSON at position 4000 (line 1 column 4001)".

Hope MS can fix these two quickly issues. i am excited to update to this version.

I am still waiting the new features introduction of September 2025 version and blog post.

After I install the latest version of PBIRS desktop, I notice that "parameter field" feature is added to this version. I am glad to have it. Next i want is "save as pbi project".
