Power BI Report Server Licensing with Windows Datacenter

Hello,

It was recently mentioned to me that in addition to getting Power BI on prem via a Premium subscription or SQL Enterprise + SA it was also included if you have Windows Server Datacenter licences with SA.  Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I would be highly skeptical of anyone that told you that. Windows Datacenter is a way to license Windows servers in a highly virtualized environment and has nothing to do with SQL Server licensing. Power BI Report Server is part of SQL Server.

On the surface, the statement makes no sense and I have only ever seen 2 ways of licensing Power BI Report Server mentioned on any and all Microsoft literature.

Not saying it isn't the case, but I have never seen anything in writing that says you can license Power BI Report Server that way and, as I stated above, it doesn't logically make sense.
