Power BI RS : Connect to a data source on the server ?

Hello,

I would like to know if we can connect to a data source on the server (Power BI RS) ?

I created 3 reports with almost the same data model but when I need to modify something, I need to do that on every report. That is annoying and not very optimized.

This is why I try to see if we can connect the 3 reports on a unique data source uploaded on the server.

Hi,

you can't deploy a dataset like in the power bi service on the power bi report server. Normally you can use a tabular cube which you can create in Visual Studio after that you can connect different reports to this source via live connection. Maybe this a a solution for your problem?

But I wanted to avoid to create a tabular cube to do that. I only have 3 reports and I does not worth to do it.
