Power BI Pro license and Power BI Report Server - cloud tenant migration and authentication

Dear community,

I have a client who wants to migrate Power BI solutions and licenses from one tenant to the other. I didn't quite understand the licesing topic regarding the Pro licenses for the developers who are deploying to the Power BI Report Server.

Could the developers use Power BI Pro licenses from the new tenant and still deploy to the on-prem Report Server, which is hosted in the old domain? How does the autentication work?

Any help is appreciated.

You should conctact Microsoft support for this kind of question.

Here what I know, you have 2 kind of license to us PBRS :

- Power BI Premium license

- SQL Server Enterprise licence with SA agreement 

In both case you need Power BI licence only for developers / designers, readers are "free"
