Power BI Desktop

Hi,   I have installed Power BI desktop RS January 2023 and the SSMS 19.0.2 I get an error message "We're not able to upload this report. The report was created with a recent version of Power BI ...

    So I created a new report using Power desktop BI RS and it worked, I must have used the non RS version and then opened it with the RS version and thats why it wouldn't work.

The SSMS version is totally unrelated to Report Server. You need to go to your Report Server portal then check the server version there using the Help > About dialog

Oh thanks for that but I am now even more confused as the report server and the desktop are both Jan 2023.
