Postgre connection

Estoy teniendo un problema al momento de querer conectar power BI con una base SQL utilizada por mi sistema de gestión. El error cuando ingreso mi nombre de usuario, contraseña es que no me valida las credenciales ingresadas. No sé como resolver este problema.

    Hi Abalestra,

We appreciate your inquiry on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Based on our understanding, the issue whereby Power BI cannot validate PostgreSQL credentials may be related to driver configuration, cached credentials, or connectivity restrictions.

Kindly follow the steps below, which may help to resolve the issue:

    1. Ensure that the PostgreSQL Npgsql driver required by Power BI is installed or updated.
    2. Clear any cached credentials in Power BI by navigating to File -> Options and settings ->Data source settings -> Global permissions ->Clear Permissions. Then reconnect and reenter the credentials.
    3. Check that the connection format in Power BI is servername:port and verify that the PostgreSQL port 5432 is open and not blocked by firewall or network restrictions.

Additionally, please refer to the link provided below:

We hope that the information supplied helps to resolve the issue. Should you have any further queries, please feel free to contact the Microsoft Fabric community.

Hi, I am having the same issue. I can connect to the database from dbeaver but not from Power BI Desktop. The error message is Invalid Credentials. I downloaded the most recent Power BI Desktop version allowed by my company, cleared permissions from Global Permissions, close and reopen Power BI Desktop.
