Parameters in Paginated Reports

Hi,

I am fairly new to Power BI Report Builder and have managed to create a report that displays the data from my dataset like I want, the only problem is I can't get the Parameter syntax correct for my user.

I have a ReportingDate field that has the date format of mm/dd/yyyy.  I need to have the user enter which month value - mm (numerical) into the parameter to run the report.  I have tried everything that I can find online to get it to work and still havent hit on the correct one.

I have a filter running right now to test choosing a month and it works fine, but I can't have the user change the filter all the time to run the report. I even created a calculated column called Month that pulls the numberical value out.  I tried to use the Month calcluated column as the field for the parameter and that won't work either.  Does anyone have an Expression syntax that will make the user enter the month number and pull the correct data?  I have tried many of the ones from this site: Expression Examples (Report Builder) - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) | Microsoft Docs

Thank you for your assistance.  I greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Deb

Hi, @Anonymous

It would be best if you show us part of your dataset and the formulas that you have tried.
