    Hi, paulo_correia

Thank you very much for your reply. As you mentioned, you use a Power BI desktop that is compatible with the current version of Report Server.
You mentioned that your PBIX has gone through multiple updates and here I tested one case
When we open this PBIX file with a higher version of Power BI Desktop and save it, we will no longer be able to upload the PBIX file to Report Server.
This file below me was created in the January version of Desktop and I was able to upload it in the May version of Report Server:

When I open a January PBIX file with a higher version of Power BI desktop next to it, I get this warning like this:

Then when I upload it again, it won't be uploaded:

To solve this problem, we can reopen this PBIX file of yours in an earlier version of Power BI desktop RS version, and then click Save to re-upload it.

You mentioned that you're using the May version of Report Server, and you can download the January version of Power BI Desktop RS from the link below, open your PBIX file with it, and then upload it to Report Server.

Please note that please back up your PBIX file in advance and use the copy as a test.

Download Microsoft Power BI Report Server - January 2024 from Official Microsoft Download Center

    Best Regards

    Hello, Jianpeng Li!

    Excellent, my friend!

I followed your instructions, and it worked very well.

From now on, I’ll do the following: I won’t use the latest PBI Desktop RS version recommended by the updated Report Server. However, since it always accepts previous PBI Desktop RS versions, I’ll use the second-to-last version, so I’m not too far behind the latest release.

    God bless you abundantly!
    A big hug from Brazil!
Thank you so much for your help and all your attention!
