consequences of upgrading PBIS version from May 2021 to Sep 2023

Need clarification on code backup during  version upgrade, any possibility to rollback if there is an error occurs

For rollback you need to have version history enabled. just keep backup of pbi file and if you encounter any error then reupload the old file in dev QA and Prod server

we are upgrading the report server version from May 21 to Sep 23 in company on prem

the major consequence is you wont be able to work with older version PBI desktop version in case you saved the pbix file using newwer sep 2023 version. so if youre working in a large group then your other collegues will have to update the software as well, otherwise theey wong be able to open the file that you have saved in newr version.
