I need to place PBIRS behind nginx for policy reasons, and I seem to be getting 401/400s. I followed the directions for putting it behind an NLB (the only concrete step I took was to create the BackConnectionHostNames key, and add `localhost` and the hostname of the machine to it), but it still doesn't work (fast fail to 401/400, if I attempt to use 127.0.0.1 I can get a login prompt that I can't pass).
I don't see more detailed logs about these requests (not in the PBIRS logs, and not in the Event Viewer).
How can I fix this?

The issue was that nginx (the free version) cannot forward NTLM authentication (technically this is because NTLM authentication happens for a session, not for a request).
We ended up having to use IIS with custom scripts to do what we wanted to do
Sorry I could not be of more help
Hello Soandos,
Were you able to make Report Server work with nginx?
I need to do the same thing and for me only the authentication screen appears after that the error 400 appears.
