PBIRS Scheduled Refresh Frequency Setting

Hello,
I need assistance with the following use cases for scheduled refresh and specific questions: I have some users who are wanting to schedule their reports to refresh as frequently as every 5-15 minutes. I'm concerned as more and more users will be doing this and eventually add extra burden on the server.   The default frequency is wide opened so users can choose to refresh every 1 minute if they wanted to.

Is there a way to change the default frequency setting and restrict it to only allow users to select every 30 minutes (as an example)?  From what I read so far, custom refresh frequency is not supported, but I want to check if that is the case with PBIRS.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi @nklien ,

If you want to restrict the minimum refresh interval from 1 minute to 30 minutes, it is not supported in Power BI Report Server currently.

In addition, you can post your idea on Ideas (powerbi.com).

Do you mean that you allow users to set the Dataset Scheduled Refresh Frequency in settings?

Hi... the screenshot you included in your response is from PowerBI Cloud Service.  Question for you - for a Pro license, what is the lowest refresh frequency can you have?  Our executives wanted a dashboard that refreshes close to every second... knowing that data source is DirectQuery/LiveConnection.
