On Jira find the Timestamp when status changed

I am connecting Jira data with Power BI.

I need to find the lifecycle of a issue in each status forexample when issue 123 changes state from status A to status B. I need to calculate the time in number of days like Today()- timestamp when it moved from previous state

There is no clear way on it to find the that field. I was thinking if anyone has worked with jira logs how to connect jira logs with the Power Bi because in activity we can see the date.
Any help would be a great help

Thanks in advance

Hi @htalat6,

I’d like to propose an alternative solution for you, you may connect your Jira on-premise to Power BI with the help of our app - Power BI Connector for Jira: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1221150/power-bi-connector-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overvie...  it's available for Jira Cloud / Server / Data Center.

We have fast/responsive support team at support@alpha-serve.com . Please let us know if you need any assistance.

Cheers!

Hi @htalat6

You could use the Jira add-on from the Marketplace like Time in Status for Jira Cloud.

With this add-on, you could extract a time report with a list of dates and times when tickets within a certain project changed from one status to another.

Besides this Status Entrance Date report, you can also generate Time in Status, Assignee Time, Average Time, Time in Status per Date, Status Count, and Transition Count reports (read more).
Also you can integrate data from Time in Status for Jira add-on to Power BI

I think this app will meet your needs when it comes to generating time reports.

Add-on has a 30-day free trial version and free up to 10 users.

Hope it helps 😌
